About
Beideth Briceño, born in Caracas, Venezuela, is an accomplished cellist with a distinguished international career, known for her artistry, leadership, and deep commitment to musical excellence. She began her musical studies at the age of 10 through Venezuela’s world-renowned El Sistema. At 14, she was admitted to the Simón Bolívar Music Conservatory and selected to join the Caracas Youth Symphony Orchestra. Just two years later, after a competitive audition process, she won the position of principal cellist, a role she held for 10 years—an exceptional achievement at such a young age.In 2009, she toured the United States and Europe with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, under the direction of the internationally acclaimed conductor Gustavo Dudamel. Beginning in 2011, she also toured extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and North America with the Caracas Youth Symphony Orchestra. She graduated from the Simón Bolívar Conservatory under the mentorship of Francy Vasquez, and continued her cello studies with Germán Marcano at the Mozarteum Caracas. In parallel with her musical career, she earned a law degree from Santa María University in 2014 and received a music diploma with distinction from the Royal College Association in 2015.In 2019, Beideth moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to pursue advanced cello studies with Adam Liu, assistant principal cellist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. She completed her Artist Diploma at Duquesne University in 2020 and went on to earn her Master’s degree in Music from the same institution in 2023.While in Pittsburgh, Beideth performed regularly with several professional orchestras, including the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra, Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, and appeared as a guest with the Canton Symphony Orchestra, Erie Philharmonic, and Youngstown Symphony Orchestra—gaining extensive orchestral experience across the Midwest.In 2023, she was selected as a fellow of The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle in North Carolina, a position she held through 2025. Since relocating to North Carolina, she has been invited to perform with the prestigious North Carolina Symphony, further solidifying her place in the regional professional music scene.Beideth currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she is an active performer and educator. She teaches cello across the Research Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill), sharing her refined technique, artistic depth, and a genuine passion for music with the next generation of cellists.
Teaching
I’m a passionate and dedicated cello teacher with extensive experience teaching in Venezuela, Bogotá, and the United States. Over the years, I’ve worked with students of all ages and levels — from young beginners to advanced and university-level cellists — always adapting my approach to each student’s unique goals and learning style.Through years of teaching, I developed my own technical method for beginner and intermediate cello students, focused on building strong fundamentals, body awareness, and expressive playing from the very first lessons. For advanced students, I offer a tailored approach based on refined technique, musical interpretation, audition preparation, and professional development.My goal as a teacher is to inspire confidence, artistry, and independent musicianship in every cellist I work with.What I Offer
